Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaii stated on Monday that Iran’s managerial model should be revised and the elites’ experiences should be used in the country’s decision-making process.

In a meeting with religious figures in Qom, Rezaii said that the country has many problems such as unemployment that can be resolved through a program to revise the managerial model.
He also said that he intends to resolve the country’s problems by establishing a coalition government if he is elected president.
Mismanagement has created pessimism: Khatami
Former president Mohammad Khatami said on Monday that mismanagement and inflation have created pessimism among the youth of Iran.
In a meeting with former commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Khatami stated that those who act against the principles and values of Islam are paradoxically claiming that they are able to elaborate on the real principles of Islam.
He noted that only one group has access to all of the electoral, executive branch, and supervisory bodies of the country and the other rival has nothing in comparison in the presidential campaign.
He went on to say that Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) should be impartial in the country’s elections.
He added that Mahdi Karroubi and Mir–Hossein Mousavi are both faithful figures of the country and nobody should expect them to withdraw as candidates in the presidential election.
Reformists will select one presidential candidate
Morteza Moballeq predicted on Monday that the reformists will choose one candidate for the presidential election.
However, there is much less enthusiasm for this year’s presidential election than for previous presidential elections, and this is a great danger, the former deputy interior minister said.
Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has no more important duty than creating an enthusiastic climate in society, he told the Mehr News Agency.
Independent Principlist Movement has not decided on candidates
Emad Afrough stated on Monday that the Independent Principlist Movement has still not reached a consensus on its presidential candidate.
The Independent Principlist Movement is waiting to see which candidate has better strategic plans for the country, the senior member of the IPM told MNA.
The former MP said that a multiplicity of candidates will appeal to more people of various political persuasions, and this will lead to a massive turnout.
More empty promises will be disastrous for the country
Presidential hopeful Mir-Hossein Mousavi has criticized the Ahmadinejad administration for giving empty promises to the people.
The administration makes commitments without careful planning, he told lawmakers on Monday.
If presidential candidates continue to make empty promises to the people, this will be a disaster for the country, he noted.
Mousavi said that he will not drop out of the race and is making serious efforts to win the presidential election.
However, voter turnout for the presidential election can only be boosted if the candidates run transparent campaigns, he added. -
